MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Description:

Job Type: Full-time
Status: Non-exempt
Shift: Day

The machine operator position consists of using saw machines based on production needs. This position includes using a tape measure, work gloves, safety glasses and ear protection while performing this job. The position also requires constant standing, lifting, bending down, pushing, and pulling with vibrations.

Responsibilities:

Different types of Saw Machines
Stacking cut wood manually on pallets
Ability to work in a fast pace production working environment
Handles and operates all equipment in a careful and safe manner
Keeping all work areas neat and clear of potential hazards
Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and storing them properly
Informing management of any safety related issues
Keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Operate the tools in a safe manner according to OSHA safety and company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently
Ability to read a tape measure and do basic math functions
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Must be goal oriented and driven to succeed
Must have verifiable work history and references
Must have reliable transportation to arrive to work for scheduled shift
Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business

Supplemental Info:

Shifts are Monday–Friday from 7:00am–3:30pm. May require occasional weekend work.
40 hours or more per week
